Burgensteigrunde Altenthann

The tour starts in Altenthann in the Ringstraße at the Alter Pfarrhof (information board for the Alter Pfarrhof). From there, follow the Ritter/green triangle markings southwards turn into Weiherhausweg, pass Weiherhaus, cross the main road and follow the signs into the Otterbachtal valley to Bruckhaus (refreshments available, route from Altenthann to Bruckhaus approx. 4 km). From there, after 300 m, turn right over a bridge up the hill to the state road, which we cross straight ahead and walk downhill, passing between two ponds at Weihersölden and walking uphill along a hedge through the forest. A 200 m long detour leads left to Lichtenberg, where you can reach the church and information board on the Burgstall through a farm (key available at the farm). Back on the main path, continue straight ahead for 300 m and then turn left to Rammersberg. From Rammersberg we walk on for about 1 km until we come to Adlmannstein. There you will find an information board about the Adlmannstein castle ruins at the "Am Feichtlberg"/"Am Ellbach" junction. 
Heading south-east on the "Am Feichtlberg" road, we leave the village again and then make our way to Altenthann. From Feichtlberg, we keep to the east for approx. 1.5 km and walk partly through the forest, always below and parallel to the Sulzbach towards Gsellmühle. Shortly before Gesllmühle, we meet the main road and cross it. We keep to the right of the Mühlbach stream to the north and eventually pass the sewage treatment plant. Continue to the right above the sewage treatment plant. The path continues in a south-easterly direction into Altenthann, where we return via Gesellmühlweg and Ringstraße to the old vicarage and thus the starting point.
