Mallorca Sa Calobra at 110km

Spectacular mountain route. With 110 km and more than 2200 altimeters, this is only for experienced cyclists.
It is best to leave early in the morning. From Port de Pollença to Pollença by the wide 'shoulder' along the main road. Beyond Pollença the road becomes quieter. Coll de Femenia is good for 7 kilometers of climbing. Then descend to near the abbey of Lluc and then climb again by the Coll de sa Batalla and higher up to the unsightly village of Escorca. At the aqueduct turn right towards Sa Calobra and immediately climb 2.5 kilometres. This is followed by one of the most spectacular descents I know to Sa Calobra. Sa Calobra is known for its small bay with clear blue water. It is reached on a hiking trail with two tunnets. Bicycle by hand. In Sa Calobra you also have some restaurants and nothing else. It is best to start the way back before noon.
Climb 9 kilometers along numerous hairpin bends and along that 270-degree curve. And then back to Pollença. The descent of Coll de Femenia is fast and quite safe. For those who still have some "salsa", one last climb to Coll de Creueta and then descend happily to Port de Pollença. Those who are really still in the right place can, of course, also climb Cap de Formentor and do more than 3000 meters of altitude, of course.
