Brognon is a commune in the Ardennes department in France, has 137 inhabitants and is located on the French-Belgian border. It is part of the Charleville-Mézières Arrondissement. In addition, the commune is located in the historic region of Thiérache. Due to its high location, on the plateau of Rièzes and Rocroi, the municipality has a harsh Ardennes climate, with a lot of precipitation, fog, wind and low temperatures in winter. The territory consists mainly of forest and meadow areas, intersected by stream valleys. The hedgerow landscape is attractive. Forestry and cattle farming are the main economic drivers. Brognon belongs to the catchment area of the upper reaches of the Oise River.
