This imposing state forest is partly located in the Gers, in the commune of Pujaudran
The main species of the Bouconne forest are sessile and pedunculate oaks. Chestnut, hornbeam, lime and ash trees are also present in mixtures and give charm, variety of colors and gaiety to this magnificent forest.
It is populated by wild boar and roe deer. Other more discreet species such as genets, foxes and badgers also make their home here. If you are lucky, you will be able to admire the flight of the Short-toed Eagle, which hunts on the edge of the forest.
By decree of 2009, 300 hectares of this massif are classified "protection forest".
The Bouconne forest is home to a leisure centre and is criss-crossed by numerous paths that can be explored on foot or by mountain bike.
Don't wait any longer, go and spend a wonderful day in the Bouconne Forest, your children will be grateful to you.
