Gaya Sculptrice

GAYA has chosen the suppleness of clay to sculpt the curves of her human bodies, she mixes strength and fragility to freeze the feelings that animate them.
Gaya's workshop is an authentic artist's studio located close to the Grosse Cloche, in the historical center of Bordeaux, its wooden frontage dates from the end of the 18th century, beginning of the 19th century.
Jacques LAFAYE, photographer, painter and sculptor, creates, gathers and teaches there since 1973, Agnès GAY becomes his pupil in 1991, for drawing at first, but he quickly pushes her towards modeling which will prove to be for her a means of expression of predilection.
She took over the workshop from her master in 2004 and took the name GAYA, as a wink to the chance that makes things so good.
The workshop remains a place of creation but also of exchanges, meetings, modeling courses, free drawing sessions with live models
