On September 12, 1943, there were six victims here as a result of a massacre by the Nazi fascists in that area.
Gino and Alfio Puglia (father and son), Ivo Bovani, Dino Chiti, Lino Lotti and Maria Tasselli were put against the wall and executed. Initially, the torturers had taken Maria Tasselli's daughter, but the mother pointed out to the Nazis that the woman was eight months pregnant. It was then that the executioners took the mother instead of her daughter to shoot her along with the other five civilians. As a result of the blows and shock, Maria Tasselli's daughter lost the child, also a victim of the tragic event.
