For beginner mountain bikers, the Grensmaasvallei MTB route is really a route to further develop techniques. The environment and the paths are very varied: you ride along challenging unpaved roads and relaxing stretches of asphalt. During the route, you cross both rural and urban areas including the villages of Spaubeek, Neerbeek, Genhout, Geverik, and Kelmond. The old cores of the villages have been well preserved, while much attention has been paid to spatial aspects and green amenities in the more recent expansions.

The routes are clearly marked in one direction for clarity and safety: clockwise. You follow the yellow signs with green MTB prints. The routes are situated in such a way that the mountain biker has plenty of enjoyment, while the most vulnerable terrain, forests, and nature reserves are spared. So a friendly request to not deviate from the routes and never ride through vegetation.
