Musical Dijkroute

This route is a variant of the Baronieroute, where we also cycle for a large part on the opposite side of the Schelde (left bank). From the starting point in Oppuurs, we head to Sint-Amands and take the ferry there. Afterwards, we follow the dikes downstream towards Drie Goten in Hamme and continue across the well-known Mira Bridge over the Durme. You can shorten this loop around the Durme by taking the ferry in Tielrode. After that, we follow the local polders and ride past the former Boelwerf in Temse, where businesses and nice terraces are now located. In Temse, we cross the Schelde and ride via the Sas in Weert to the village center of Weert, a beautiful winding route with a magnificent view of the Bornem Castle Marnix of Aldegonde. Via Branst, we return to Oppuurs.
