Remagne

The western Ourthe has its source on the high plateau (about 500 m) northeast of Libramont. At this height is the village of Remagne, in the middle of rolling meadows, which in turn are surrounded on all sides by mainly coniferous forests. The walk described below is, so to speak, a mix of meadow and forest, but still: green from start to finish.

NATURE OF THE ROUTE
Large parts of the road are paved. They alternate with an elementary paved country road and an unpaved forest road. The latter is insurmountable for wheelchairs and strollers. In the first part of the walk there is a lot of climbing, but not almost frantic.

SIGNAGE
About the first kilometre and a half of the route coincides with the GTA, the large yellow and white marked road crossing the Ardennes.

PARK
It is necessary to get rid of the car near the rural church of Remagne. Above the portal is the year 1949. One side façade and choir are white, the tower, the other side façade and the roof are covered with black slates. In short, a black and white church, with a cemetery around it. But there is no real parking nearby. So it will be a bit of adjustment and measurement.
