Poekekasteel walking route from Artemeersmolen with a stop in Poeke

This route is based on the Routen castle route , but has been adapted:

- she also passes the Artemeersmolen , in fact: she starts there

- she goes counterclockwise to visit Poeke's castle in the first part

- the intention is to be able to make a stopover in Poeke village

Start at the Artemeersmolen ; there are a few parking spaces in front of the mill. Through the open fields we arrive at the OLV van Leenkapel.

Nearby is Poeke Castle. We enter through the imposing Coach House and already get a view of the French garden with the castle behind it. We cross the ramparts to view the castle in all its glory. We continue past the dog kennel and the English garden with a completely different view of the castle.

We go right through the castle park to walk along the outside of the domain through the Poekebeek valley to the village of Poeke . As stated in the introduction, a stopover can be provided here in the Horeca shops.

Continue past De Reigerbeek Castle and several chapels (including a Lourdes chapel) back to the starting point.
