The Ladybug Path is a short, semi-paved route specially designed for strollers but also for individuals with visual impairments. Along the way, you will encounter various experience elements of the Heron Path, which have been adapted for the blind and visually impaired. Resterheide, located on the border of Hechtel-Eksel and Peer, is a versatile area where you can explore the source area of the Zwarte Beek and the Bollissenbeek. Although the name suggests otherwise, Resterheide mainly consists of agricultural lands and coniferous forests. The walking paths lead you past ponds, coniferous and deciduous forests, nature fields, and typical agricultural landscapes. Through the Heron Path, you can playfully learn more about the forest, and along the way, you can overcome obstacles on the Squirrel Twist.
