On foot and by horse-drawn carriage from Poupehan via Rochehaut and Frahan

If you have organizational talent, you can turn it into a wonderful day trip !

The concept is as follows:

- Start from Poupehan (or Corbion - see below), walk to Rochehaut.

- In Rochehaut (after a possible stopover): horse-drawn carriage ride through the Semois to Frahan. It takes 1 to 1.5 hours. You can book the horse-drawn carriage in Rochehaut al' attelage-ardennais (roughly from the Easter holidays to the autumn holidays). One horse-drawn carriage option is to descend from Rochehaut to the Semois and then through the Semois to Frahan. Then again through the Semois to the Roche des Corbeaux with a beautiful view.

- Back in Rochehaut and after strengthening the inner man, we go down the footbridge to Frahan and return to Poupehan (or Corbion if you started from there) via the Semois.

If you like it a bit more: From Corbion there is a route with 14 km and 386 meters in altitude or an even more difficult route also from Corbion with an extra spectacular viewpoint "Roche des Corbeaux" with 18 km and 455 meters in altitude.

Poupehan is the town where Prime Minister Wilfried Martens, labor leaders and the Central Bank governor met secretly in a chalet in the 1980s to avoid the Depression . The government was about to fall and that inspired me to see the statue of the Virgin Mary overturned in a small chapel. In conclusion: It was here in Poupehan that the cornerstone for the recovery policy of the following years was laid.
