Rosenthal is a hamlet in the district of Birgelen, belonging to Wassenberg, in North Rhine-Westphalia. Rosenthal includes the small settlement named Schaufenberg.
Rosenthal borders to the northwest the former Mercury settlement near Rothenbach, to the north the train station belonging to Rosenthal, to the east Schaufenberg and the former shaft of the Sophia-Jacoba mine, Hückelhoven, where today the municipal yard of the city of Wassenberg is located. To the south lies the larger district of Birgelen.
