The Baden Wine Cycle Path connects the Baden wine regions of Markgräflerland, Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg, Breisgau, Ortenau, Kraichgau & Badische Bergstraße over a distance of around 460 kilometers.The new Baden Wine Cycle Path covers approximately 460 kilometers, starting from Grenzach-Wyhlen on the Swiss border, passing through the five Black Forest wine regions of Markgräflerland, Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg, Breisgau, and Ortenau, and continuing through Kraichgau to Laudenbach on the Badische Bergstraße. The gourmet route for cyclists will be signposted from April 2020.The route, divided into eight stages ranging from 43 to 78 kilometers in length, is particularly scenic and offers picturesque views of vineyards. It passes through picturesque wine villages, with more than 300 wineries and wine cooperatives along the way inviting you to enjoy delightful breaks. Wine tourism highlights along the route include Germanys first corkscrew museum in Vogtsburg-Burkheim, the Badische Winzerkeller in Breisach, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, and various wine museums. The medieval old towns of Staufen, Endingen, Gengenbach, and Weinheim are definitely worth a visit.Current notice: On its first stage, the wine cycle path briefly passes through Switzerland shortly after starting in Grenzach.
