From Benidorm, the route first takes you along busy roads towards Collosa d'en Sarrià. But from there, it becomes beautiful and the roads get much quieter. First, you climb Coll de Rates via Tàrbena (you can choose to continue climbing to the antennas at the top). After the 6 km long descent, you ride towards Pego, and just before Pego, the beautiful Alto de Ebo begins. Enjoy the winding road through the forest at the base of the climb and the stunning views further up the ascent. After the relatively short descent to Vall d'Ebo, there’s an unpleasant stretch on a high plateau with ups and downs, sometimes with gradients hitting 16%. After passing the village of Alcala de la Jovada, you'll tackle the climb of Puerto de Tollos, a very remote and narrow road, with some steep sections. From Tollos and Facheca, you head towards Castell de Castells. Then comes the climb towards Tarbena from Collado de Bixau, which briefly hits 14%. Via Tarbena and Polop, you head back towards Benidorm.
