Flines-lès-Mortagne

Flines-lès-Mortagne is a French commune located in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region. The climate that characterizes the commune is classified, in 2010, as a "degraded oceanic climate of the plains of Central and Northern France," according to the climate typology of France, which then counted eight major types of climates in mainland France. In 2020, the commune is classified as having an "altered oceanic climate" in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only includes, at first glance, five major types of climates in mainland France. It is an area of transition between the oceanic climate, the mountainous climate, and the semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Precipitation is lower than at the seaside, except near the reliefs.
