This old washhouse has a curious inscription: "Blanchir le linge, salir le monde" (wash the linen, soil the world).
A mural adorns the washroom. Amongst others Antoine Brellmann contributed to this.
Antoine comes from the Kaysersberg valley and has been painting since childhood. After perfecting his technique at the Beaux-Arts de Strasbourg, he has been associated with the Maison des Artistes de Paris since 1998. He takes his inspiration from the nature of Alsace and the Vosges that surrounds him, during his hiking trips. The bird, a symbol of independence and freedom, is the leitmotif of his sketches, paintings, watercolors and especially his sculptures. It can always be found, sometimes hidden, in his wall decorations and illustrations. The artist does not hesitate to travel through Europe and America to diversify his vision.
