On the left bank, in the heart of the Faubourg Saint-Martin, the eponymous church stands on a square that was frequented since Antiquity. At the end of the 19th century, the church, of classical style, gave way to the present building following a fire. Consecrated in 1902, the church of Saint-Martin is in neo-Romanesque style. Note, on the bell tower, the bas-relief representing Saint-Martin and, inside, an art deco mosaic and stained glass windows. Other religious buildings are worthy of interest. On the other side of the railway line, the chapel of the Little Saint-Dié or Saint-Déodat chapel is located at the foot of the Kemberg. It stands on the spot where the Irish monk Deodat (in Latin Deodatus, or in French Dieudonné, later shortened to "Dié") created his oratory in 669. On the right bank, the Saint-Roch chapel houses a superb altarpiece by Claude Bassot, dated 1625.
