The route starts from the parking lot at the church of Neerkant and goes clockwise. The share of unpaved roads is 52% (which is 4% more than routeyou indicates, because in the routeyou database some roads that are unpaved are indicated as paved). Please note: the underpass of the Heldensedijk (between Meijel and Beringe) is closed (until expected March/April 2024). Follow the local diversion for cyclists here (the route will be 400 meters longer).

The route takes you through the Peel area, cycling on gravel roads in the village of Neerkant and along the green zone of the Deurne Canal and the Helena Canal.
After the passage through Helenaveen you cycle on gravel roads along the Mariapeel and the Defense Canal, the Camel of the Peel and along the parabolic dunes of the Zwarte Plakheide,
on gravel roads through agricultural areas between America and Kronenberg, and through the Heesbeemden nature reserve (here the road can be a bit wetter).

After passing Kronenberg with its characteristic church, long gravel roads follow through the Kronenbergse Bossen and through agricultural areas just south of Kronenberg. The route then goes through hamlets south of Sevenum with a gravel strip here and there. Then you cycle unpaved through the Elsbeemden nature reserve and through the valley of the Elsbeek.
Near the hamlet of Most you cycle on gravel road along the Groote Molenbeek.

For a while, there is a section with 3 traffic lights to cross the entrances and exits of the A67, where you also cycle past the popular restaurant Turfhoeve. South of the A67 there is a gravel road and you cross the A67 (viaduct) to gravel on the other side to Helenaveen. Then gravel roads come on your path west of the village of Grashoek and along the Deurne Canal and the Noordervaart. Via gravel roads just outside Meijel you cycle to Neerkant where a few gravel roads around and in the village follow.
