In South Limburg, we can take the saying 'every little house has its cross' quite literally. In the houses, on the facades, and also along the roads, crosses were placed for religious reasons in the past. These are called roadside crosses, and during this walk, you will admire more than thirty of them in various forms.

The route can be walked as a large loop (14.3 km) or shortened to two shorter loops around Slenaken (10.3 km) and Epen (8.2 km). The starting point of the walk is the large parking lot of Slenaken, at the bottom of the Loorberg. The starting point of the loop around Epen is the parking lot at Kapelaan Houbenstraat (junction 81).
