This route takes you through the beautiful area of the Brunssummerheide. In the backyard of Natuurmonumenten and in the heart of the versatile Brunssummerheide flows the Roode Beek. In the source area of this iron-rich stream, raised bog formation occurs, and heath fields alternate with small ponds and distant views of dense, green mossy thickets.

This walking route goes through a unique piece of nature in an environment that is picturesque in itself. The new Knopen Lopen walking network shows you the way.

Parking is available at restaurant Schrieversheide, where you can also get a cup of coffee. To start, walk from the parking lot towards the restaurant, and just before that, the route begins.
