The chapel path is 3.5 km long. It is a way along which the seven sorrows of the Mother of God are depicted. The images can be admired in seven different chapels. The walk takes about one hour. EH Tommelein is the brain behind the chapel path. He was pastor of the St. Barnabas parish in Noordschote from 1910 to 1938. The chapels were built as a reminder of the soldiers who died in the trenches during the First World War.
