Das Stadtpalais d’Ansembourg ließ der reiche Lütticher Bankier Michel Willems zwischen 1738 und 1741 erbauen.
Es besitzt eine symmetrische Fassade aus Ziegel- und Kalksteinen.
Die Decke des Treppenhauses schmückt eine Apotheose des Herkules aus Stuck. Aus dem gleichen Material ist auch der Apollo als Musenfreund im Tapisserie-Saal.
Die Wandteppiche mit ländlichen Szenen in diesem Saal stammen aus Oudenaarde (um 1700).
Das Speisezimmer und der Henrijean-Hennet-Saal im ersten Stock besitzen mit bemaltem und vergoldetem Leder bespannte Wände. Die Wände der Küche sind mit blauen Delfter Fliesen verkleidet.
Das Palais wurde 1903 von der Stadt Lüttich erworben und beherbergt heute das städtische Kunstgewerbemuseum.
Unter Denkmalschutz durch Erlass des Generalsekretariats (17. September 1941).
In die Liste des außergewöhnlichen Kulturerbes der Wallonie aufgenommen.
