The castle of Burg Reuland (built in the 12th Century) was to the 18th century a huge complex. Today’s complex of ruins still has a size of 55m to 65m. Besides the actual fortress she had a castle ring and a two side’s comprehensive ditch with protective wall.
Until the early 14th century it served as the seat of the noble family “Reuland”. In the castle museum you find the collection of archaeological excavations. In pictures and writing the excavation and restoration work is documented.
