De Côte de Rivage is een beklimming tussen Stavelot en het circuit van Francorchamps. Vooral in het beginstuk is de beklimming goed pittig. Het geweldige uitzicht tijdens de beklimming in combinatie met het rustige weggetje maken de Côte de Rivage altijd leuk om te fietsen.
De beklimming start in het dorpje Masta op de doorgaande weg tussen Stavelot en Malmedy. Neem de afslag richting Rivage. Tussen de huizen en boederijen door slingerd de weg omhoog. Over een kilometer lengte is de klim gemiddeld 10%, niet te onderschatten dus. Pak bij de t-splitsing in het dorp de weg scherp rechtsaf omhoog. De bocht is zo scherp en mooi dat we hem meetellen als een haarspeldbocht.
De weg draait hierna loodrecht de berg op. Met gemiddeld 11% is dit het zwaarste stuk van de beklimming. Er lijkt geen einde aan dit stuk te komen. Blijf bij de huizen de weg naar rechts volgen. De komende anderhalve kilometer klimmen slechts een beetje door langs de heuvel richting het circuit.
