Short 10-11 mile route, mostly quiet roads, flat. Good for a quick evening exercise routine. Takes 40-50 minutes at a leisurely pace.
There is a short half mile on A1079, cycling in a wide "white line" edge to the road in a 50mph section.
Not far from the pubs at Newon-on-Ouse, Sutton-on-Derwent and Elvington.
Always do this route in an anti-clockwise direction so you don't have to cross the A1079.
From Elvington, go into Sutton, turning left before the tennis court. Pass Allerthorpe Common (woods), turning left at the end onto the A1079. Take the first turn on the left after the pub onto a small country lane. At the end, left into Newton, then right back to Sutton.
