Yellowstone National Park

Did you know that in 1995 the wolf was reintroduced by humans here in Yellowstone. The goal was to control the overgrown deer population. It was remarkable that the wolves did this not purely by killing the deer, but also because of the fear they caused in those animals. Because of this fear of wolves, the deer started to use the landscape differently and valuable plants were given more opportunity. That is why this new landscape was also called the 'landscape of fear'.
