La cathédrale Saint-Jean de Besançon, aussi appelée cathédrale Saint-Jean Saint-Étienne de Besançon, est une église, basilique et cathédrale carolingienne franc-comtoise à Besançon, construite dès le IIIe siècle puis reconstruite plusieurs fois, notamment au IXe siècle et au XIe siècle ; elle comprend des parties romanes, gothiques et baroques . L'édifice est l'un des rares en France à comprendre deux chœurs opposés ; il recèle une trentaine de tableaux classés aux monuments historiques, une horloge astronomique considérée comme un chef-d'œuvre du genre, ainsi que « la Rose de Saint-Jean », un autel circulaire datant du XIe siècle et entièrement réalisé dans du marbre blanc.
