De Noorderkerk aan de Noordermarkt in Amsterdam is gebouwd naar een ontwerp van Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621).
Het gebouw, waarvan de plattegrond een achthoek is en de bovenbouw een Grieks kruis met vier even lange benen, is in drie jaar gebouwd tussen 1620 en 1623.
Net als de Westerkerk, een kilometer ten zuiden van deze kerk, is het gebouw neergezet om de in de 17e eeuw snel groeiende bevolking van de Westelijke Grachtengordel en Jordaan een protestantse kerk te bieden.
