Entlang der IJzer in Diksmuide findest du das letzte Stück belgische Front aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Der Dodengang ist ein Graben-System, in dem belgische Truppen vier Jahre lang gegen den Feind standhielten. Die Stellung erhielt schnell den Namen Dodengang aufgrund der hohen Anzahl an Opfern in diesen Schützengräben. Der Standort wurde vollständig mit Betonbauwerken wiederhergestellt. Das Besucherzentrum zeigt dir das Leben und Leiden der Frontsoldaten während des Ersten Weltkriegs.

Von 1. April bis 15. November geöffnet von 10 bis 18 Uhr. Zugang bis 17:30 Uhr. Von 16. November bis 31. März geöffnet Dienstag und Donnerstag von 9:30 bis 16 Uhr. Zugang bis 15:30 Uhr. Aufgrund einer militärischen Neustrukturierung können sich diese Öffnungszeiten ändern. Geschlossen zwischen 25. Dezember und 1. Januar.
