La Casa Batlló è un edificio progettato dall'architetto Antoni Gaudí, massimo rappresentante del modernismo catalano, ed è situato al numero 43 del passeggio di Gràcia. La Casa Batlló è il risultato della ristrutturazione totale di una vecchia casa convenzionale costruita nel 1877. Josep Batlló i Casanovas, un industriale tessile, incaricò Gaudí di una ristrutturazione totale dell'immobile e Gaudí iniziò pensando a una ristrutturazione della facciata, ma alla fine fece una riorganizzazione totale degli spazi, con maggiore ventilazione e illuminazione naturale; aggiunse due piani le mansarde e i caratteristici balconi progettati con forme intrecciate curve.
