Het bezoekerscentrum bestaat uit meerdere sfeervolle gebouwen, verbonden door een eeuwenoud straatje. Er zijn 2 wandelpaden, het vlonderpad van 1 km. en het laarzenpad lengte 3,5 km. Vanaf Bezoekerscentrum De Wieden kunt u bij uitstek het gebied verkennen. Van april t/m oktober is er een ruim aanbod aan vaarexcursies.
Kijk voor alle vaarmogelijkheden op www.natuurmonumenten.nl/agenda . Elke 75 jarige mag in 2009, op vertoon van legitimatie, gratis mee met een vaarexcursie van Natuurmonumenten.
