Le Wolfsburg est un château médiéval de plaine et d'eau mentionné pour la première fois en 1302, qui s'est ensuite transformé en château de la Renaissance. Il est situé dans l'est de la Basse-Saxe, dans la ville nommée d'après lui, Wolfsburg, dont il est la propriété depuis 1961.
Le Wolfsburg s'est développé à partir d'une tour résidentielle sur l'Aller en un château d'eau avec un caractère fortifié. Au XVIIe siècle, il est devenu un château représentatif, mais néanmoins défensif, qui représente le représentant le plus au nord-est de la Renaissance de Weser. Le fondateur et constructeur était la famille noble des von Bartensleben. Après l'extinction de sa lignée en 1742, le Wolfsburg est passé par héritage aux comtes von der Schulenburg.
