Wandsworth Town is een district in het zuiden van Londen, binnen de London Borough of Wandsworth, 4,2 mijl ten zuidwesten van Charing Cross. Het gebied is in het London Plan geïdentificeerd als een van de 35 grote centra in Groot-Londen.
Wandsworth dankt zijn naam aan de rivier de Wandle, die de Theems binnenkomt bij Wandsworth. Wandsworth verschijnt in de Domesday Book van 1086 als Wandesorde en Wendelesorde. Dit betekent 'omheining van Waendel', wiens naam ook is gegeven aan de rivier de Wandle. Om het te onderscheiden van de London Borough of Wandsworth, en historisch van het Wandsworth District van de Metropolis en de Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth, die allemaal grotere gebieden omvatten, staat het ook bekend als Wandsworth Town.
