Sherrington è vicino al villaggio più grande di Codford e si trova vicino al margine della Salisbury Plain. Si trova a 7 miglia a sud-est della città di Warminster e a 13 miglia a nord-ovest della città di Salisbury. Sherrington fa parte dell'Area di Eccezionale Bellezza Naturale di Cranborne Chase & West Wiltshire Downs.
Sherrington ha i resti di un castello a motte e bailey, presumibilmente costruito alla fine dell' XI secolo o all'inizio del XII secolo. Ora è un monumento antico programmato, il tumulo raggiunge un'altezza di 5,5 m e ha un diametro di 48 m.
