Brattleby is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 111 having slightly fallen from a figure of 113 quoted at the 2001 census. It is situated 5 miles north from Lincoln, to the west of the A15, and near to RAF Scampton.
According to A Dictionary of British Place Names, Brattleby is defined as "a farmstead or a village of a man called Brot-Ulfr", an Old Scandinavian person name, with 'by', a "farmstead, village or settlement".
