Moircy ist ein bescheidenes Dorf, himmelwärts 8 km südöstlich von Saint-Hubert, also in den Hohen Ardennen, entlang der recht belebten N826, die - irgendwo zwischen Barrière de Champlon und Bastogne - Libramont mit der großen Ardennenstraße N4 verbindet. Es liegt am südlichen Rand der riesigen Wälder, die Saint-Hubert umgeben, sozusagen in einem Gebiet, wo diese Wälder etwas Platz für Wiesen ließen (aber es wird wohl so sein, dass das offene Land dort entstanden ist, indem der Wald abgebrannt wurde). Auf jeden Fall sind die Panoramaansichten überwältigend.
