Lens is een plaats en gemeente in de provincie Henegouwen in België. De gemeente telt ruim 4000 inwoners. Lens ligt halverwege op de steenweg van Bergen naar Aat . In de gemeente ligt het bos Bois de la Provision.De dorpskern van Lens ligt langs de Oostelijke Dender. Naast Lens zelf, liggen in de gemeente nog de deelgemeentes Bauffe, Cambron-Saint-Vincent, Lombise en Montignies-lez-Lens.
