Het Gemeentelijk Heemkundig Museum heeft een prachtige kantcollectie. Handgekloste Beverse kant is beroemd dankzij de fijnheid en de bijzondere motieven, zoals die met de bloemen. Kant kent vele traditionele toepassingen, bijvoorbeeld in mutsen of doopkleedjes. Vandaag zijn de interpretaties en fabricagemogelijkheden eindeloos. Hier geen fake, maar ‘the real stuff’. Of toch weer niet?
