We are now at Leipzig Square, a place where a lot of new construction is happening. Normally, such a place isn't a tourist attraction or worth a look, but we make an exception for the new artistic heart of Berlin. Some time ago, and still partly today, this was the frayed edge of the city; community gardens, flea markets, vacant lots with unclear activities, military terrain. Now it is an area of urban infill. Everything here was built after 1990, except for three things. The first is the old clock, located in the middle of the square, a relic from the time when the tram still ran here.
On the west side of the square, Potsdamer Platz, much has already been realized; take a stroll around if you love modern architecture (glass, lots of glass, preferably curved, or very sleek) or science fiction (or just love glass).
