Halmaal ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Limburg und ein Stadtteil von Sint-Truiden. Halmaal hat eine Fläche von 1,75 km² und zählte im Jahr 2001 334 Einwohner.
Halmaal ist ein Haspengouws Straßendorf, das entlang der Straße von Sint-Truiden nach Velm liegt, 3 Kilometer südwestlich der Stadt. Obstanbau ist dort in beträchtlichem Maße vorhanden. Die Bahnlinie Landen-Hasselt bildet die Westgrenze des Stadtteils. In den 1930er- und 1940er-Jahren gab es einen Bahnhof.
