Peins ist ein Dorf in Waadhoeke in der Provinz Friesland, Niederlande. Es hatte im Januar 2014 eine Bevölkerung von etwa 260. Bis 2018 war das Dorf Teil der Gemeinde Franekeradeel. Das Dorf wurde erstmals im 13. Jahrhundert als Pesinghe erwähnt und bedeutet „Siedlung der Leute von Pese“. Peins ist ein Terp-Dorf, das wahrscheinlich aus dem Beginn unserer Zeitrechnung stammt. Die Lehmmauer nach Franeker verwandelte sich später in eine Straße. Die niederländisch-reformierte Kirche stammt aus etwa 1300 und wurde 1865 umfangreich umgebaut. Der Turm wurde 1912 ersetzt.
