Het merendeel van de opnamen van de topserie op VIER van Woestijnvis "Met Man en Macht" gebeurde hier nabij het oud-gemeentehuis en het café Bij Rita (dat dus werkelijk bestaat), op de Markt. Café Rita is één van de zeldzame volkscafés in de gemeente. Rita nam het café lang geleden over van haar moeder, die in de volksmond bekend was als Zwarte Maria. Daarom noemen velen nu nog steeds het volkscafé Bij Zwarte Maria. In 2015 wordt dit gebouw gesloopt. De basin vertelt wel dat het dankzij de serie `Met Man en Macht altijd wel zal blijven verder leven.
