Blegny, Li Trembleu genoemd, is in het Limburgse bekken de mijn die het laatst dichtging (1980). Gewezen mijnwerkers hebben van de plaats inmiddels een levend museum van industriële archeologie gemaakt. Onder hun begeleiding kun je bijvoorbeeld de bovengrondse installaties bezoeken: reddingzaal, douches, lampenkamer en technische dienst. Je kunt ook samen met de liftkooi tot in de ondergrondse galerijen afdalen. De mijnwerkers brengen je zelfs tot bij de steenkoolader. Ooit haalden 650 mensen hier tot duizend ton steenkool per dag naar boven. Blegny is nu vergane glorie.
Blegny is bekend vanwege de enige steenkoolmijn in de Euregio Maas-Rijn die ook ondergronds bezocht kan worden.
