IWT supports Toscanelli project
KaHo Sint-Lieven & RouteYou dive further into the research
The IWT (Vlaams Instituut voor Wetenschap en Technologie) selected this month the research project Toscanelli for support with research funding.
This project is a collaboration between the technical university Kaho Sint-Lieven Hogelschool of Gent and RouteYou.
The next two years, research will be carried out on the following topics:
- Semi-automatic creation of unique outdoor navigation networks and interesting location-information.
- Creation, detection and selection of qualitative routes.
- Increasing the performance of routering along the 'nicest' paths.
- Beter route-suggestion and route-creation support.
Toscanelli & Colombus: a fresh look on routing
