Houses at 2,6 million euro are as 'cheap' as 300 years ago

Professor Piet Eichholtz did a study on the price of these houses. He concluded that the quality of these houses have been very stable over the last 300 years. And as such are ideal to study price fluctuations.

The current price for an 'avarege' house along this canal is 2,6 miljoen euro. But that is less than the relative price in 1736, the top year for these houses in history.
