Remarkable results on walking and digital solutions from the Netherlands

The tourist organisation of Gelderland/Overijssel of the Netherlands (Gelders Overijssels Bureau voor Toerisme or GOBT) came up with some remarkable conclusions about walking in their region Twente:

• most of their visitors walk the whole year through
• on average, they are 55 years old
• 75% of the people (from the survey) wanted to download routes from a website
• 36% is interested in having the walks as a GPS solution
