It's hard to believe, but the spot voted
several times to be the most beautiful and impressive in the world, the
Grand Canyon, is too noisy. |
| It's got well over 100 sightseeing aircraft flights per
day crossing the Grand Canyon. And for many, this is getting too much
fot its natural soundscape. Although there is an act from 1987 (by the Federal Aviation Administration) that is meant to resolve this, implementation has stalled by flight operators. The Park Service Road Map to implement this law is aiming at the end of 2009. So there is hope... |
