In 2016 leek Holderness Road sterk op een scene uit de Hitchcockfilm Birds. Kraaien gedroegen zich verschrikkelijk agressief ten opzichts van mensen en andere dieren in de buurt. Dit gedrag ging gepaard met de sluiting van het McDonaldsrestaurant op Holderness Road. Een verklaring van dit agressief kraaien gedrag zou zijn dat de beestjes verslaafd waren aan het suiker- en vetrijke voedsel van McDonalds dat hier overvloedig als restafval te vinden was. En het verdwijnen van de ene op de andere dag verroorzaakte heel wat stress bij de rjjke kraaiengemeenschap.
