Het was hier dat Serafino Riva in de jaren dertig, de glorietijd van de bootraces op het Iseo-meer, in een zelfgefabriceerde raceboot met de toen duizelingwekkende snelheid van 24 kilometer per uur de golven doorkliefde, een vroeg, maar overduidelijk geval van maritieme autonijd. En het was ook hier dat Riva in samenwerking met Ferrari een befaamde, 100 kilometer per uur snelle raceboot bouwde, "la Ferrari del Mare".
